GLUTASERGE

Glutaserge is Glutamine based formulation specially designed for those with metabolic stress

  • Glutaserge is high in Glutamine to cover increased needs and to maintain gut functions & helps to improve immune function. Provides 10mg of Glutamine

  • Glutaserge is an oral powder supplement, providing a unique combination of glutamine,antioxidant vitamins and trace elements

  • Fortified with antioxidants such as Vitamin C and E, and trace elements such as Zinc and Selenium to alleviate oxidative stress and prevent tissue damage.

INDICATIONS FOR GLUTASERGE

Glutaserge is indicated in:

  • Malabsorption & GI disorders associated with:

    • GI Surgery

    • Chemotherapy and radiation

    • Inflammatory bowel disease

    • HIV/AIDS on HAART (Higly Active Antiretroviral Therapy)

    • Infectious Enteritis

    • Impaired immune function

  • Metabolic stress states:

    • Severe burn injuries

    • Trama

    • Post-op recovery

DOSAGE

Depending on the condition, the recommended dose of Glutaserge is 1-3 sachets/day. A higher dose may be necessary in certain indications but should be administered on the advise of a treating phyician or a dietitian.

  • For basal requirement – 1 sachet/day

  • Moderate stress – 2 sachets/day

  • Severe stress – 3 sachets/day

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Oral Administration: Mix one packet GLUTASERGE® powder into 120ml of a favorite hot or cold beverage, or with soft foods like yogurt, applesauce or pudding. Stir well and consume immediately after mixing. 

Enteral Feed: Mix one packet of GLUTASERGE® with (60-120 mL) warm water. Infuse immediately via syringe into enteral feeding tube. Flush tube with 15-30mL water before and after administration via enteral feeding tube. Adding GLUTASERGE® directly to enteral formula is not recommended. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Glutaserge is:

  • Not indicated in children below 3 years of age.

  • Not for parenteral use

  • Not intended as a sole source of nutrition

  • Not suitable for Patients with severe liver or kidney insufficiency and patients with inborn errors of metabolism of nutrients contained in Glutaserge.
